Dawn Duthie

Dawn is a Scottish born artist working in New Zealand.
She studied at The Bournville school of art and design, and received a Ba(hons) in Fine art from Coventry University.
Being born in Glasgow in the 1970s under the cotton mills, Dawn has an affinity with the Art nouveau and the arts and crafts movement. This love of botanical and nature being studied in detail, and then reflected in repeating patterns can be seen in her practice.
Upon moving to New Zealand, Dawn fell in love with the similarities between the two countries, as well as the unique fauna and flora of Aotearoa.
