Malika Costar

My name is Malika Costar, I am a 25 year old self-taught artist. I was born in Japan and moved to New Zealand at a young age. My heritage is Okinawan/Japanese/kiwi.

My whole life I’ve been in nature, following animals, studying insects and watching every nature documentary known to man.
In my journey of life, most of my adult life I have spent studying to become a biologist. As I started my masters thesis, I also started painting. The ocean and her creatures were my original muse.
