New Zealand’s endemic, extinct woodpecker. These beautiful prized birds were part of the Wattlebird family. Female and Male Huia had dramatically different looking bills, both in shape and size. Last official sighting of them was in 1907.

She takes her inspiration from nature. This love started in her very early years with her Grandmother teaching her about the native fauna and flora on the family farm in Clevedon, and continues today.
Kristin enjoys creating art in a variety of styles, especially pointillism using pigment pens.
