This painting of a peacock face with all the delicious detail, I did for my very oldest and dearest friend.

She had been stuck in Auckland’s never-ending Covid lockdowns and travel restrictions of 2021, even though she was living in Tuakau (officially in North Waikato) and I wanted to cheer her up.

She loves peacocks and it was cool to be able to surprise her with it, which reminded me that one of the coolest things about being an artist is making something unique for someone else.
