Leigh Munro
A visual artist based in Kerikeri, New Zealand, after teaching art, design and photography for about 33 years, I now create art almost full-time. My media include oils and acrylic paint, pen and ink and combinations of digital media and photography. I feel a particular affinity with water, so this features often in my art. My. work tends towards abstraction, though strongly influenced by the natural world. My artistic influences are wide ranging, Hieronymous Bosch, Brian Ruttenberg, Hans Giger, the Surrealists. My latest work focusses around quantum physics and ancient mythology.
