Kirsten Boardman

Kirsten Boardman is a multimedia artist whose practice spans painting, drawing, silversmithing, and screen printing. A student of The Learning Connexion in Wellington, New Zealand, Kirsten draws inspiration from abstract expressionism and the refined elegance of Japanese art and design.

Her work reflects a deep interest in material exploration and composition, often shifting between structured form and intuitive mark-making. Influences such as Solly Smook, Kat Kristof, and Anne-Sophie Tschiegg can be felt in her atmospheric palettes and layered surfaces.

Kirsten spent ten years living and exhibiting in Melbourne, Australia, where she developed much of her current approach. Her work continues to evolve through a process of experimentation across mediums, always grounded in a quiet, thoughtful aesthetic.
