Featured artist

Jana Hands

My names Jana Hands and I live on a sheep and beef farm in the Tararua with my family. I’ve loved animals for as long as I can remember and grew up rurally with ponies, pet sheep orphaned from my grandparents’ farm and lots of country school pet days. I was a full time shepherd before becoming a mum and I thought my love for farming and my diploma in photography could work well together.

Emma Prestidge

Emma Prestidge is a colourist and textile fanatic. She loves wearing and painting with vibrant hues mixing subject, print, and pattern. Her work is inspired by holidays, childhood memories, and her life-long love of flowers. She holds a Masters of Fine Arts from Elam School of Fine Arts via The University of Auckland. Her work is held in private collections throughout New Zealand and internationally. She paints in her living room in her Wellington home.

Izzy is a self taught multidisciplinary artist with a focus on photography working out of her home studio in Tamaki Makaurau. Her current practice delves into capturing unseen beauty of our world which lies hidden in our everyday lives. Snapping sublime landscapes to the minute details of the macro world she marries her love for design and creation to make custom tools to use in her photography work

Inspired by her love for nature and desire to express her unique perspective artistically she is passionate to show others the mystery and wonder around them. Weaving a wide range of different subjects together to show how they are linked through her collected artworks.
